i have a 96 es 300 when i first crank it up and press on gas it goes fine ...but after a lil while i get a slight rumbling noise when ever i press on the gas...this is driving me crazy...kinda hard to be chillin in a lex when u sounding like a truck....
Lexus tech please help i think its coming from the front.
also when i press on the brake while in gear i get a pulsating feeling under my foot and i hear a slight noise then also but different from the first noise.
hope anyone can help me.
i know anti lock are supposed to pulse but i thought only when braking hard.
The rumbling sound almost seems like you have a leak or a loose seal in the exhaust systems somewhere, and that's where the noise is coming from.
The brake pulsation you feel could be warped rotors, which I think is pretty unlikely unless the car's been braked hard a lot, or has thin rotors that need to be replaced. Has the car had any brake work and what kind?
Other possibility with the brakes is the pads are worn, or worn unevenly or something odd like that.
I'm not an expert, so other folks have any ideas???
thanx for the suggestion...i was leaning that way myself.. thinking to the exhaust....but the only work i have had supposely done was front & rear valve cover replaced. getting the engine check light turned off...

Rumbling noise: Sounds like an exhaust leak to me
Pulsating: Brake rotors are warped
Thanx i think you are right about the warped rotors, the rumbling noise seems to be coming from front.but since i work almost 13 hrs a day i have little time to really test it... as soon as i pay this car off( next week) ...i'm getting everything done...i just hope that clears it up..
