Unhappy ES 300 will not move in reverse!

Guys, so the brakes needed replacing on the ES 300 but since I bought cross-drilled rotors for them, I decided to drive the car to the ground.

Which I did, the car was making all the noise of no pad hitting the rotor when I braked up.

But now, this is crazy. The car (the ES is a manual) goes foward but when I put it in reverse, the car goes in reverse and it WILL NOT BUDGE! I am revving the engine trying to reverse the car, but it's like the rear brakes are now stuck.

Can this happen? Can I wear the brake down so much it will lock up? It's no the tranny or clutch as the car moves foward. The car moves in reverse maybe 3 inches and locks up.

HELP!

Jack the car up and try moving the rear wheels backwards.

You should never run your brakes down farther than the idiot screech markers... afterall that is what they are for.

I'll bet one of the caliper bolts fell out. Now the caliper moves and locks up when rotor turns in a specific direction.

DevildogIS300,

If you lose a caliper bolt (yeah I have had that happen), it just makes your brakes squeal. It will not stop the car unless the caliper flips over and GRABS the rim....but the inside of the rim is smooth and would not grab.

Thanks. As stated replacing the whole system, wore it all the way down since it will be thrown out.
