I would call again and ask for more detail on their reasons. It just may be they don't service your older AC system only.

They said its too old a model and the service dept may not have the right tools to work on it. I wrote to lexus Corp telling them and said that its probably because the dealer don't want to deal with people who have those cars now.

Lexus wrote back saying to contact the dealer again. Never did went to a regular AC shop had it charged up and works fine now.

Still love my car and someday will get a newer model.
