engine noise..... help plz.

First thing i would do is take the belt off, and see if the noise is still there. Im willing to bet you have a bad water pump bearing or a bad idler or accessory belt tensioner. Take the belt off, and see if the noise goes away, then go from there. If the noise is still there, then you have an internal engine noise.

Yes, you can remove the belt out and spin each pulley by hand, alternator, idle pulley, power steering pump and water pump(2J engine). You probably has a bad belt tensioner like RT said.

ok so i fixed it, it was a bad bearing on the water pump. replaced the water pump, replaced the timing belt, and fixed the timing. put it all back together and WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO no the car has no engine noise, and its idleing really smooth. turn on the engine and sit in the car and you cant even tell if the car is really running or not. anywho thanks to everyone, for the input,
