my engine makes a weird fluctuating noise, kinda sounding like a dry bearing or something. i had the main serpentine belt taken out and started my car up and the noise is still there. the noise is only heard the the car is fully warmed up. if you give it gas, it's gone. i brought it to several lexus dealerships and they tell me it's normal on a GS4 to have this noise as the timing belt get's older. they say it's the belt getting looser and the belt pretensioners move around a bit. i have around 69k miles on my car. anyone else have this issue?
Since you've already taken it into the dealer, and gotten one answer, the only other thing I can imagine doing is taking it to another dealer or an independent Lexus / Yota mechanic for a second opinion. No one know these engines better I'm guessing .

I can't help you with that specific noise, but I can certainly empathize about noises in general. My car has so many that I now have a list for some glorius day when I have time to address them one by one.
I just took my car in a few days ago for the same problem, I have not got it back yet. They told me my water pump was leaking, so they replaced it as well as all my belts. But the actual noise came from the cooling fan. Just waiting for the fan and It will be back to normal!.
