Default Help with Trottle Body Cleaning for GS300

any one has a tip for cleaning the throttle body on a gs300. i've search and came up with cleaning the gs400 and 430.

the gs300 has a longer body and you can't get to the butterfly opening. how do you guys clean this area. i hope you don't have to take off the throttle body to clean it out. there must be an easier way to do this.

i tried to stick my hand in the hole and it's too small and i can't reach the carbon build up on the throttle body.

tips please..

if you have to take off the throttle body, is there a diy page where i can follow instructions.

To do the job right, you have to take off the throttle body.
Otherwise, it won't clean very well.
Search "IACV" here and also at the LexusOwnersClub.com website.
There is a how to clean thread that is detailed with photos.

gotta take out the throttle body. Our throttle body isn't like other drive by throttle cable system out there.

Well.. i wish i cold contribute but my engine is a 2jzgte engine.. diffrent than of a Gs300 !

but i would suggest to change the gaskets.. since you already have taken the throttle body off.... you dont want to take it off again ( in case somthing happens) just to replace the gaskets ! better to be safe.. brother !

Clean it Well !

Drive Fast But Think Safe !
