Default Exhaust question. 'is it bad?'

Is it bad to take out a gasket that is located after the cat? By doing this, it is creating a a little gap, making the car sound louder. Any negative effects?

Thanks in advance!

WIll likely cause an issue with the Safety/Emissions inspection if your state requires it. I know if you were in NC and you brought your vehicle in for me to inspect it, I would have to fail it due to the exhaust system having an audible leak. But other than that I think no real issues would be of concern.

I have had such gasket fail on me and had to have it replaced down here, that sound is not even remotely good to the ears. Like guitarmike said, that kind of leak will fail you in a bunch of places (but not here in Mexico .

i found one in the 2is forums, my idea wasnt going to work anyways so you need to change the rear section

i was wondering if a muffler delete would work/sound good on a 2IS but it wont as there are only 2 main mufflers, in my LS there were FIVE!
