Absa-frikkin-lutely!!!!

While Trans fluid doesn't need to be changed as often as engine oil, it does still need regular maintenance. I like to change mine roughly once a year.

I agree with MKORSU. changing the oil once a year sounds good. You don't have too. But if you beat up your car alot and it(and it tends to happen). I would change once a year. Just to keep everything nice and new. Changing your oil every 100-400 miles is a good idea. But like most people. They like to do it once.

well i didnt do it myself. my brother Fwynn, my dad, and I worked on it.
steps are..

Jack the car so u can get under.
Remove Transmition dip.
Remove tranny drain bolt. if u got some car knowledge the bolt should stand out.
let it drain in a bucket or oil bucket thing..
i believe drian n fill is equal to 2 quarts.

if you want to remove the filter.. be warned.. after you unbolt all the bolts and try pulling that sucker off... theres no turning back. so yea to do that..

remember to take as much tranny oil out
unbolt all the screws
take a LONG and thin flat head screw driver and mallet or hammer (rubber)
pry and pound on the 4 corners

ull know its working when a lil more oil come out.. after u break the WHOLE seal u can remove the oil pan (tranny)

the pan is connected to the dip stick adaptor ( its 2 pieces... but looks like one)..

after that clean the WHOLE pan.. theres hould belike 3 magnets.. clean that well and remove ALLL the old gasket (there should be some on the tranny as well so becarefull and remove that as well
put

lube the inside of the pan with t4 oil and put the new seal on top. by now u can put the bolts on cuz the new gasket will hold it.n now back track..

put the pan in the car n tighten the bolts with the appropiate torque setting.

and then fill. ide use 2 quarts first
n let the car sit for awhile
n then check dip stick. when its at the cold level.. start the engine and go through your gears from L to P (bottom to top) switch every like 10 secs. n then shut off engine.. check the level.. add when needed.

if u can see this../

just a quick note the "filter" is actually just a strainer. It maybe more cost effective in the long run to just flush the system, most dealers offer this service. the torque convertor, cooler and lines hold a lot of dirty oil.
