Default Windshield replacement

Currently having a dilemma figuring out which glass shop to use to replace my front windshield. I have FL insurance, which fully covers windshield replacements with no deductible, so nothing comes out of my pocket. I originally wanted to use the Lexus dealership to replace the glass, but the dealership rejected the pricing quoted by my insurance. I need to know what else is best out there for original (not aftermarket) auto glass replacements (e.g. Safelite, PPG, etc.)

Any suggestions are much appreciated, thanks

PPG And Safellite are 2 very good brands. I go through 3 windshields a year and personally I think Lexus windshields are over priced (another reason why your insurance rejected them)

I think the biggest thing you should worry about is having someone that knows what they are doing....

I agree with AZdesertGS. The installer need to know what they are doing. If not, you will end up with windnoise, water leak, rattle, etc.....

Ask the dealer the price they will replace the windshield with the OEM one, get the price in writing and have your insurance adjust it to that price. There is a reason we all pay for insurance which most of the time we dont even use. Be adamant and dont take no for an answer. Ask the dealer what they do when the insurances quote is less than what they would charge and what avenue's you should take to get the fix done YOUR way and NOT your insurances way!

Doug, I had a PPG windshield installed two years ago and you can't tell the difference.
Ask your dealership who they outsource their work to and go to that shop.
