It's more like 25-30k for your first year. It's funny that the school promise that you will make 60k when you graduate lol. There are guys in this trade for 10 years and still make 60k. It's not what you know... It's Who you know. My ex-teamleader made 100k a year but it's dirty money. Where are you in texas?

I'm in Grapevine, TX. Imbetween Dallas and Fort Worth. School is in Dallas. It's at a somewhat crappy community college, but it was the only option. I've spent the last 7 years working as a paramedic, time for a career change.

TBH, T-Ten program is not difficult. Passing the ASE(s) is much harder IMO.

P.S, they paid me to take the online tests, straight time.
Ford does the same thing i got paid to take the online tests, paid to go to the training center ( hour drive) and got reimbursed for the fuel and tolls. to the op is takes dedication to the brand although ASE test can be obtained by anyone willing to pay.

no i have some craftsman tools and sometimes it is better, then again the big names have tools that other dont offer or make very cheap. if your a lube tech at a dealer i wouldnt go spending thousands of dollars on a box and tools but if you are getting into the bigger jobs i would invest in quality
