transmission pan removal - help!

Default transmission pan removal - help!

I can't seem to get the pan off, i tried prying and using a putty knife to little success. How can i break the strong RTV seal on the pan, without resorting to Toyota's special tool?

run the putty knife all the way around to break the seal

OK, i did what you said, and a bit more work with a prybar, it's off! Thanks!

good stuff, make sure you seal the pan with some good sealant!

the PO took it to the dealer for and ATF change, and the used a red silicone, i have a tube of Mopar ATF-RTV, i feel a bit leary using FIPG here.
