RX350 Driver Power Window Issue
I have a 2018 Lexus RX350. Driver side window wasn't working (no sound of the motor at all). I replaced the driver master switch and that didn't fix it. I then replaced the motor and it worked. However, the polarity was reversed (up was down and down was up). So I cut the two thick wires (there are five total; two thick and three thin) and spliced them together opposites to see if that would fix the polarity issue. It did not, and the window went back to not working at all (again, no sound of motor running or anything). So then I switched the wires back to the original configuration. The window still wouldn't work. So I thought I messed up my new motor, and I bought another new one. I tried out the new motor and it still doesn't work. Any ideas what the issue could be? The other windows work from the master switch so I doubt it's an issue with that. I have good splices on the wires. I'm flummoxed. Thanks for any help.

You likely blew a fuse when you were messing with the wires. Check the fuses first. Also, these windows need to be reset after power loss. Try the reset procedure: with the car on, push window down, hold five seconds, then pull up, hold five seconds. If that doesn't work, it might need a dealer scan tool to reset the motor position sensor. Stop cutting wires.
