Default SC 430 Trunk Closed Sensor

My 2005 SC430 has the red light above the close button on the dash. The top will not go down and it feels like the car thinks the trunk is still open.
For a while if you slammed the trunk lid a couple of times it would finally go off and everything would be fine but now it is stuck on red.

I was thinking the sensor is bad but not sure where it is located? Any help is appreciated.

Maybe all it needs is some adjustment or lube.

The red light usually means the trunk latch sensor is faulty or misaligned. The sensor is part of the trunk latch mechanism check for dirt, corrosion, or a loose connection. Sometimes adjusting the latch striker or cleaning the contacts fixes it. If not, the sensor may need replacement. Also, inspect the wiring near the hinge for breaks since it flexes often. A cheap fix before buying parts.

Solved!
It was the Front Lock Switch.
Took it apart and cleaned it.
Problem solved
