Hello everyone, I am new here and I’ve been using this website to help me with my Lexus is350 2006 ,
So I was gone for a month. I had a buddy change my spark plugs and then when I come to turn it on, it starts to idle hard and when I put it in drive it starts to shut off slowly , but if I put it back in park it idles normal but rough , before the spark plug change the car was running super smooth before he changed them he put in Brisk ER14s, the spark plugs I ordered were Bosch iridium 9613 from autozone which I put in today and swapped them out but problems still persist , I have not changed the coil yet because I was told so spark plugs first . I did a test and get P0355

Any thoughts?
I've never seen a Bosch plug work properly in any Toyota this would be a first.
I can’t say that I have tried them in a Toyota. But I have run autolites with no issue many miles in Lexuses. Since it’s free, I’d try the quick swap to see what happens.
Since we are talking about plugs, i’ll mention NGK’s new Ruthenium plugs have been in the GS for a decent 10k to 15k miles. Thee car runs better than any car that age and mileage has any right to. I’m sold on them for higher compression applications, at least. The performances matches the marketing promises according to my poorly calibrated dyno (my butt).
Did you disconnect the coils or stretch the wires bent pin, crack the boot, if not Cheak the coil.
Bingo, this sounds like a broken clip/ignition wire. Whether it be a Bosch, brisk, champion, ngk etc, if the plug is sized right and the gap is close to factory spec you won't get a crazy rough idle like OP mentions. Maybe misfires at high RPM, but this motor doesn't sound like it's firing on all cylinders.
So if I’m I’m in the front of my car looking looking at my engine right now the order is like this
passenger side/driverside
5 6
3 4
1 2
Front of engine
Yes. Toyota’s “V” numbering is opposite of, say, GM. For a Toyota, if it’s transverse, the even number ones are towards teh front of the car. If it’s longitudinal, they are in front of the (US) driver.

I just replaced coils 5 and 6 all new spark plugs and I still get the P0355 , rough idle etc here’s a video , hopefully you can hear it but when I put it in drive it wants to turn off , when I put it in park I can idle as long as it wants but rough .
