Weird, I also get a little message with the auto stop start saying it’s off for to the climate control or battery charging.

 

I have not noticed my wife’s shut off in quite some time. I have heard that the system is supposed to learn and it seems to have done that on ours. We do get the battery charging notification a lot. ….Not me complaining!

 

I thought I also read somewhere that if you don't push down on the brake too firmly, it won't engage.

I should have my LX next month. May put a little mileage on it before trying it to ensure its not a lemon or whatever (abundance of caution).

I think some cars turn off Auto Stop-Start when the engine's idle RPM goes up. It seems like a way to keep the system from kicking in when it's not ideal.
