My 15 GX460 came with a remote starter (without needing enform). This was an added option previous owner purchased. With 17 LX570, i don’t believe it has it. Didn’t even see it as a factory option (without enform). can someone confirm this?

16+ LX all have enform based remote starter. No longer offer no subscription stand alone remote starter anymore. Same goes to 15+ GX as well.
All 2010 though 2017 Lexi had the Safety Connect telematic system that uses 3G telephone service to connect.
As of Halloween, 10/31/2022, the phone companies will "sunset" those towers and all phones and cars will have
nothing to connect to. Similar to when On-Star switched to digital phones when the analog systems shut off, there
are no plans to upfit, update, retrofit any circuits or modules in those early model year cars. You may continue to
subscribe until next autumn but will be told that it is ending.
The Lexus Enform App and fob Remote Start was first available for the LX's for the 2016 model year and will continue
to be available by subscription for any 2018 or newer Lexus models. Options for the OP's 2017 will be to enroll for the
next year and a half and then install an aftermarket device.
My alarm guy installed a plug & play module to bypass needing the Enform App on my 2017 using the factory fob. The remote start functions exactly like it did when the Enform subscription was active. Including shutting off when I open the door. SMH
But I'm ready when the Enform subscription goes away. Cost was around 300.00 installed.
My new 4Runner has both Toyota app start and key fob start from the factory. The key fob is not advertised. That said, very easy to add a Clifford aftermarket starter.
Unfortunately I do not have the brand name of their product. I just posted up so everyone would know the tech exists & a cost for it. The company I use does dealer "option" installs on site. So if you have a car that did not come w/ a particular option & the customer wants it, these guys will install it. EG sunroofs, alarms, heated seats, upholstery repair / replace, leather seat covers, repainting dashboards / bumpers & on & on. They are very tight lipped about what products they use, but everything is warrantied for a minimum of 3 years. So it's a no brainer for us to use them for these kind of installs.
