Default 2018 LX No Third Row

I am looking at purchasing my second lexus, a 2018 LX. I found one I like, but it doesn't have a third row. I didn't think they made them without third rows. It was a premium package, too.

1) Am I crazy?
2) Anyone know if this is something you can get installed aftermarket?

Looking at a cheap one, 3rd row seats are listed under premium options and packages. Here is one without 3rd row listed at my local dealer.

They sell 2-row and 3-row versions. The 2-row does not have the ML stereo 👎👎👎

Starting 2018 model years, there is a version of two rows available for LX. But as other have mentioned, it stripped lots of luxury options as well, and made it about $10K less on MSRP.

Perhaps marketed to the "tough trailer" crowd, fishing boats, snowmobiles.
Need room for gear, not for small children?
The Curb Weight is 5890 lbs. with 5 seats, 6000 with 8 seats.
GVWR remains 7385 so you pick up 110 lbs. payload.

The third row in GX470's clipped out easily and left minimal intrusions in
the cargo area. The GX460 and LX570 have rather elaborate power
mechanisms that do not easily remove.

IMO, that would depend upon your patience and experience with tools.

Yes, they do come in 2 row version. When we were looking for a new LX in 2018, we were interested to buy a 2 row version but it doesn't come with any options such as ML, HUD, cooler box, etc. So, we just went with the 3 row.

Really? I can’t speak to the GX but my LX took about 15 minutes with 2 tools.

mcomer, I should have asked sooner...did you actually remove either GX460 or LX570 3rd row seats?

Nope, just looked at the hinges and wiring and assumed the worst.

If you have no need for the third row then it would be fine. If you are planning on retrofitting a third row, if even possible, you will be better off looking elsewhere...it will probably cost a lot more than just buying one with the third row.
