That's a real bummer. Sometimes you wonder, what these Lexus engineers were thinking when they put these electronics in flagship models.

No Apple Car Play, one of the reasons we traded our 2018 in on a Cayenne after owning it only 11 months.

Has anyone thought of trying the RX mod folks have found on the 4th gen forums. Seems like the infotainment system HW should be the same for the most part. Working Carplay (i believe working on wireless which would be a first since only BMW SUPRA comes with that) and AA

Think they might offer a CarPlay upgrade to the 2019 RX350?

Do you mean RX350? See below models with Apple play.

is the LX hardware different than all the other vehicles? I would have assumed it is the same. Has anyone tried updating it themselves without the dealer?

I could be wrong, but believe the current hardware is too dated to accept APC. I have not heard of anyone being able to upgrade through dealer their current system. On newer models of Toyota/ Lexus yes, but LX/LC is old. Would be great if you could. Hell, the new LS 500 just got APC and it is totally redesigned.
