I have 2011 LX and soon it's time to replace it with a new truck.
I still love my LX and I'm thinking of the same model, 2018 or maybe wait for 2019, but recently I thought - maybe GX might be good enough for me?
Can you dear experts share your opinions and experience and tell me what are the main differences between those two models?
I know that GX has funny rear door (barn) and the 3rd row seats are not good as in LX.
What else?
Thank you guys!
I went through this when I purchased my 2011 LX. Drove both the LX and the GX. The GX just didn't have the feel that the LX 470 we were trading in. Dove the GX first, then the new LX. The sensory difference was dramatic to both my wife and I. Now have
125,000 on the 2011 and thinking of trading it in now.

Thank you! By just looking at GX I thought that it's pretty much the same as mine LX, just a bit smaller. Didn't think they could drive differently...
I'm waiting. And waiting. And waiting more. Doesn't look like they will release it any time soon. I guess it's not happening till mid-2019 at least?
And then there is like 6 month wait probably? Which means that I'm driving my 7 years old for one-two more years...It's getting old...
I'm thinking about picking up 2018 model for now, lease it for 3 years and after that there will be a next gen for sure, with all bugs fixed by that time?
I have had 3 GX's 2008, 2011, and 2015. Bought a 2017 LX last June and love it. Much better ride. Only downside is fuel economy and gas tank too small other than that LX wins on all point, no comparison.

We have both (2014 GX and 2016 LX). Depends on how you primary use the vehicle for, will have lots to do which one would be better. In our situation, LX has been primary for out of town trip as we love to travel. The ride quality with LX is definitely better, from suspension and seats. GX is great for general daily purpose, and both with excellent off roading capabilities. It is hard to say just which one is better over the other. Your personal preferences and utilization of the use will be determined to which one would be best fit your needs.
LX/GX different platform different engine different build quality and material quality. S class/ Maybach same platform same build quality same engine Maybach has better interior materials.
New the LX is almost double the price.... I think the GX is the better value.... has a touch screen which is a plus for some people... The LX is more luxurious... The GX is getting a slight facelift next year....
Both engines are significantly different. The LX idles (and accel / cruise) alot smoother than the GX. Ride is more comfortable and the LX is alot of 'complicated' / has more mechanical toys than the GX. Everything reflects on the price.

What mechanical toys are you referring to? I have been in LX before and there is not much of features it has over the fully loaded GX except the size
