Why do some LX 570's have a lighter shade of privacy glass and some come with the typical dark, deep tinted glass? Is the darker factory OEM or do owners tint with aftermarket?

 

The factory tint darkness should all be the same. 2008 models came with no factory tint, 2009 with tint on side only, and 2010-on have the side and rear tinted. Because 08 and 09 models were not (completely) tinted, owners were compelled to choose their own, thus the reason why you see a variety of darkness.
