Voice Commands / Hands Free (mic) Not Working correctly
'New To Me' 2015 LX 570. Hands Free/Voice Recognition/Phone Microphone not working ? All prompted commands respond with "Command Not Recognized". It's as though the microphone is not working. Not on mute. Tried holding in volume control. Played w/all the controls, volume, etc. I can dial a number (using Siri) & when they answer I can hear them thru the LX system (bluetooth connected / music works) but the person receiving the call (or calling me) can't hear me ? After trying for >2 hrs & my tech savvy Gf is stumped... The only thing we haven't tried is disconnecting the battery... What's wrong ???
Seems like the microphone, but if the system is telling command not recognized, that might mean it is hearing it and not understanding. Since people cannot hear you talk, that does point to perhaps a microphone issue. Also since this is a new vehicle to you, there is a voice recognition training program in the LX, maybe that was setup for previous owner causing you problems if the mic is not the issue
I have a 2020 with Siri Eyes Free. According to Google, a 2017 LX 570 also has Siri Eyes Free. Note the difference in buttons described in post 3 on this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lx-...n-2015-lx.html
mine works fine most of the time. I use Bluetooth to talk to Siri. The Mark Levinson uses USB to access lossless Apple Music downloads. I am very happy with the result. My eyes are on the road 100% of the time. And that ML sounds great.

I am not an expert….
Siri hears me when I talk. I need her response to come through the LX speakers, so I can hear her. And it does/I can. That is what the BT does, routes Siris responses back through. By keeping BT for that task, the USB is available for its important role (my priority): play music perfectly.
As far as I know, the LX mic is not needed between me and Siri. She, I , and the BT, have it handled.
Howver, the first few times I tried to “hail” Siri, she did not respond. I tried one of the buttons (“Start Phone Call” button, or “Give LX a command” button) and Siri perked up. But after that, she just responded to my voice. I assume only my iPhone mic is in play.
Occasionally my LX “forgets” some things, like seating presets. I suspect it occasionally reverts in other areas too. It is not perfect. But the playback of the ML with the lossless audio source files from Apple Music is, so I forgive the imperfections on account of that.
