2) Buy a 2018 LS500 and swap out the tires and hope/pray
3) Buy a S450 and just suffer. (tongue in cheek)
4) Buy a fully loaded E450 - comes out to $92K - which is about the same as the LS (I think I might just renege to this. Poison I know and all).
5) Screw it, keep on driving my car.

I can't honestly tell anyone which one of these 5 wins atm. I keep on going back and forth here in frustration.
I suppose most of my frustration is directed towards Lexus. Seriously - wtf were they thinking?!
Really, maybe it's better for you to move your questions to the appropriate S Class and A8 boards in order to get your confirmations on buying the S450 or A8. Why do I get the sense that the "Angry Pengu" simply wants to throw up all these random questions on various threads and even create new threads to get others on Club Lexus all angry like you? It's going to be tough to accomplish that because the over whelming majority of us LS 500 owners will go on to enjoy our rides. I hope those who are still considering the 5LS are smart enough to seek advice from the LS 500 owners who have driven the car for some time instead of relying on someone who's totally indecisive and without any first-hand knowledge.

I am active on those boards too and have done just that.

Angrypengu seems pretty fair and reasonable than most CL members here who has pooped on the 5LS.

Unlike most MB owners esp. being on other MB forums, at least he IS considering a lexus

Not sure in Canada, but the Lexus US is running their (emailed received early in Aug):
THE FINAL DAYS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE "GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY SALES EVENT"
are upon us

$2,000 CONQUEST INCENTIVE FOR CUSTOMERS WHO OWN A COMPETITIVE VEHICLE AND PURCHASE, FINANCE OR LEASE A NEW LS500 OR LS500h

Thanks. Unfortunately that's a US specific only offer but I appreciate you giving me that info.

I've also placed an offer on the LS. It is representative of the max I am willing to pay for the LS. If the dealer accepts it, great, and if not, then I'm moving on. At this point, the French phrase that comes to mind is "Que Sera Sera".

with non-rft tires and a few thousand miles later, i can almost guarantee you that the LS will soften up. once the chassis gets worn in so to speak, will ride smoother.

Methinks non-rft's AND those 20" noise cancelling/reducing wheels may make a significant difference in the overall noise of the LS500...I cannot yet speak from experience, though.
