Default How Long Did Your TPMS Sensors Last?

I have a 2018 and recently had new tires mounted. The tire pressures took more time to display than I was comfortable with, but it did show up. This made me wonder how long do TPMS sensors last? I have heard 5 years, and mine are going on seven years.

Wow that's some good batteries you have in your sensors.

My tire pressures sometime show up after a minute of driving and sometimes it takes about 20 minutes. Makes me wonder if the sensors are dieing.

I don't have a TPMS alarm on the instrument panel.

Always over eight years and typically around ten; I believe they only power up when wheel is rotating so usage will be a factor. Peter

Tire shop ID'd psgr front sensor is much weaker than others.
Replaced it, and went inside instrument cluster gvehicle settings. Tried to pick, "Reset TPWS", but nothing happens.
Picked "Chg Wheelset". Selected that process, gotessage"Registering TPWS Sensors, but that process never finishes, even after 45 minutes of driving, several times.

Any suggestions to register a new sensor?

Mine is also a 2018 with about 95K miles on the clock. Once the temps dropped below 50 degrees, my TPMS started taking nearly 20 minutes to display readings. Since I was getting new tires at Costco, had them replace all four TPMS sensors at the same time. Now the pressures register within seconds.

Just change all four sensors and you’ll be good.

I mean maybe it depends, but my LS has the original TPMS at 58K and my RX 08 was just replaced at 223K so Idk lol. Agree if one goes change them all.
