If I'm at work? leave FOB in car all the time is the car monitoring all the time,.
I guess a better way to ask this;? Is the car wanting me to take key out after turning off the car for the day?

Section 1-2 Theft deterrent system under the "Engine immobilizer system" title.
"The vehicle’s keys have built-in transponder chips that prevent the engine from starting if a key has not been previously registered in the vehicle’s on-board computer. Never leave the keys inside the vehicle when you leave the vehicle. This system is designed to help prevent vehicle theft but does not guarantee absolute security against all vehicle thefts."

I personally wouldn't do it. I don't know if it drains the battery any more or less.

No problem leaving the key in the car except for the risk that someone might take your car.

You can lock one of the keys in the car using the other key.

You should not lock the car and leave the key in close proximity.

Thanks for this reply, I’m not going to leave key behind if I’m out to eat but at work it’s gated and since it’s new to me, I had questions about leaving it in car , like I ask …car is not necessarily needing FOB gone if I want to leave it in there

I'd leave it in your pocket.
