Hello All,
Can anyone give me some advice on the TPMS Module, my tire warning low pressure light comes on but all my tires are good and well inflated. I replace all 5 of the sensors and about 2 weeks later the light comes on again. Is the module that it sends the readings too bad, are they pricey to replace?

1) If the sensors were supplied by the installer. They should warranty the part and labor
2) If you supplied the sensors, did you buy inexpensive ones? Denso is the OEM manufacturer. Chinese made, inexpensive sensors have been known to have poor quality.

The “low pressure warning” is caused by one or more of tire pressures being below the warning threshold. What pressure are your tires inflated to and what pressure are your warning thresholds set to? Check your Owner’s Manual regarding benchmarking the TPMS.

Check the spare tire pressure too. On some years, if just one tire is low or one sensor is dead, it will affect the entire warning system. I'm pretty sure 2009 falls under that category. If you hook a code reader to the OBD2 connector, you may get more info. Depends on the reader's abilities. This may help diagnose the problem.

I am not sure what this means: "set at 27 psi run at 32 psi"
If this means benchmarked at 27, then be sure you include your spare tire.
Why would you want to benchmark at 27 and run at 32? The TPMS is a NHTSA mandated safety system.

When the low tire symbol is displayed scroll through the screens on the instrument cluster display. Is 1 of the 5 tire pressures highlighted in yellow?
For the past 2 months I've been experimenting on lowering the tpms threshold pressures by pressing the tmps reset button under the dash. From my understanding the system takes roughly half a gas tank to fully set the new pressures into memory. I assume this is to compensate for temperature differences during drive cycles.
For example...
I set all tires to 28psi ( all were white on dash, not yellow). Then i pushed the tpms button. All was good for a week. Then a single tire indicated low pressure at 28psi.
If you have been running pressures in the upper 30's it seems to take a few tpms resets to lower the threshold to high 20's.
Using techstream you can view the individual low pressure limits for each tire.
18" tires feel fine in the psi 30's. I feel the 19" tires are too harsh. 19's feel smoother in the mid to upper 20's to me.

Where did you buy your Denso sensors from? I would recommend setting the TPMS system at the same pressure you are running. Trying to trick the system may cause it to lock out. Also, if you were losing signal from a sensor the light would flash before it went solid.
