Modern plug electrode materials don't "burn" like the old ones, so gaps hardly change unless there's a real problem with the ignition system.

It's true that the correct Iridium plugs last a long time. If you choose to leave them in for extended mileage, you may have trouble removing them. I wouldn't. I do my own service, so plug service is just the cost of the parts.
I would swap 'em.
I also subscribe to 5K OCI and regular trans service. I care about my vehicles.

Do follow up and let us know how these work out for you with time. Many members made a very big deal out of only using the OEM Denso Iridium Long Life (or TT as only acceptable substitute) when changing plugs in our LS cars. I'm interested to hear how these perform for you. I decided I wanted to try some of the Brisk Silver plugs, but their life expectancy is significantly less than Iridium plugs and they require running hotter or colder plugs (can't recall which one ATM), so I ordered a set of Brisk EVO plugs that should arrive this week.

Original Spark plug at 120k miles. Not a huge increase in the gap

Pricey plugs have a real advantage of longer intervals of use. Great post sir.
