Quick question on TPMS for 2012 LS
My tire pressure warning light stays on solid and the tire pressure display on the dash is blank.
From what I have gleaned from searching here, if one tire sensor battery fails, the light comes on and the screen is blank.
If that a correct understanding?
If it is, then I've learned what I need to do from all your great posters. Many thanks.

I just talked with my local tire shop, Allen Tire in Long Beach, Calif., and they said their testing gear won't work on Lexus cars before 2015.
They said I'd need to go to the dealer.
And if they install new sensors from them, they would not be able register them in the car's compu
Again, back to the dealer for the registration.
Has anyone encountered this before? Any workarounds? Any ideas at all?

Try another national tire shop, they usually have the correct software. Costco is another option. Dealer price typically very high in comparison. Just do a search here for TPMS, there are several threads.
It might be possible you have 1 or more dead sensors l but it’s also possible maybe the reset button was pressed too many times and the ECU went into a lock mode that you need a special tool to get out of. I sent you a PM

Lexo98... I was not able to read your PM....my computer would not let me get it... sorry.... Also, I was mistaken about the warning light. It DOES flash for about a minute before going solid. So I will assume a bad sensor, likely b/c of a dead battery. I plan to replace them all. Will check with Costco. My main concern is that I have been told twice that only the dealer can do it. My local Toyota dealer said they can do it, but I am dubious. My plan to talk to Costco first, Toyota second. I'd like to have the sensors installed by a shop that can navigate the Lexus software for the 2012.

Of course a tire shop won't tell you their competitors can do the job. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ount-tire.html

My '07 does not display the psi in a specific order and does not specify TPMS location; however, the TS508 enters them in a clockwise order, starting from the front left tire and ending with the spare. So in the car's vertical stack psi display, the top reading is front left and the bottom is the spare. If I can do it with a consumer available tool, then a commercial shop should have no problem if they have the right equipment.
