Hey guys so the up button works down works weirdly if I continue pressing it it opens again, the open and close close on the right doesn’t work at all, what would cause that doesn’t seem like a fuse does it anyone experience this ?

 

That happened on my wife's Jaguar years ago. It went off the track. A great auto body place I took the car to wouldn't even touch it.

And why are you opening it now, aren't you in sub-zero temperatures?

Actually, maybe the severe cold has something to do with it. See what happens when the weather gets warmer, you know in July!

 

I had a similar issue with my the sliding open/close button so I just replaced the overhead console with a similar unit from eBay and it resolved my issues.

 

I opened mine 3 times, once to see if it works, once to clean it and lube it, and once because I hit the button in error when the car was still new to me and I missed my garage button. I wish these cars didn't have the sunroof......however in the context of what could be wrong test the switch and check the track and see if they are in spec/on track.

 

Got similar issue and there is way to get the surnroof to re-calibrate itself. It was a sequence of press on the switch - info should be available on here somewhere.

 

So my friend used a 2 way obd thing and used the app to open and close now it works fine. It’s strange but I’ve seen it happen twice now, once with the turn signals, using a orb device that can activate specific things will then allow them to work again, for the turn signals there was no codes just changed the stalk.

 

I believe, loss of power (disconnected battery) can cause loss of calibration on some of LS460 systems.

 

gonna try and recall if i tried to open it since I d/c the battery the last time but it’s odd coz one side buttons not working is not the way it was when it happened before both sides work just not in auto mode
