Default Need help with spark plugs

Hello all

I have an 07 LS400 now with 145,000 miles

As near as I can tell the previous owner had the plugs changed around 60,000 so I now have over 80,000 miles on mine.

The car starts and runs just fine, but from what I have read I should have new plugs installed now.

So what kind to buy and from whom?

Thanks for your thoughts

The user manual has the part number for spark plugs, you can get plugs from any reputable source. I got mine from Autozone. Try to avoid Ebay if you can.

Only possible question I have, what if the current plugs were upgraded to iridium long life (100-120k)? Only if they would fit of course.

They are already laser iridium 3 ground plugs from NGK at the factory. You won't gain anything and I believe they revised the interval upward after 07? They last over 100k

Go to your local dealer and pick them up.

Or try Rockauto: I don't know if they're cheaper but shopping from them appeals to my laziness

I've seen too many mentions of Amazon and e bay having sellers shipping knockoffs of all kinds of items. A place like Rock or any national chain parts dealer is your best bet for the real thing as they buy volume from mfg. It's advisable to order new foam sleeves at your mileage, they've likely started degrading.

Yes, market is flooded with knockoff plugs. Really hard to distinguish too. Reputable parts source or a parts.lexus.com is a good start.
