Euro body ecu in .., problems .., help
Hey guys I got the German body ecu in but I’m having 2 issues and it’s hard to describe.
if I get the windows to auto fold and unfold, I encounter a problem when the window unfolds the mirrors themselves will start trying to move I guess it’s related to sone memory position but they have moved to the max so they will start clicking and clacking non stop and I’d have to move the mirrors into correct position each time I’ve tried setting the mirrors memory..: so far no dice
next is my drivers side mirrors switches.., the switch for my driver window will not reset and will not work on auto and also the passenger side switch on my side will not control the front passenger window.
and the mirrors Controls are reversed for sone reason left is right and right is left

I'll say it again.. You can't just replace ds jb ***** nilly. It supplies many +12v lines and foreign one can easily route + where it's not expected on your car... Ds jb also contains an eeprom, that is programmed with your car specific options. If you're brave - try moving just the eeprom from foreign one to your jb. Or dumping both and crossflash. I have some donor units and I did experiment with that, trying to light up DRLs (half high beams) on my euro car. I did exp many of issues described by op and dropped the idea.

Check out the EU model EWD diagram, it might be pinned differently in which case just depin the harnesses and repin it in the relevant position.
I don't know what talks over multiplex or how it works but if there are different multiplex signals then I'm out of my depth.

I don't have experience swapping an Euro Lexus/Toyota ECU into a North American Lexus/Toyota car and I am not sure how compatible an Euro ECU hardware is to a North American Lexus/Toyota ECU. However, below is the process I used to swap an ECU between North American Lexus/Toyota cars.
_
- Tools: Techstream and access to TIS database (for downloading the latest ECU data)
- Use Techstream to write your car's VIN into the swapped ECU (in Techstream, go to Engine & ECT \ Utility Selection Menu \ VIN, then select "Write VIN" to write your car's VIN into the swapped ECU).
- Use Techstream to connect to TIS (techinfo.toyota.com) database, and download and install the latest ECU data to the swapped ECU.
If the Euro ECU hardware is the same as the North American ECU hardware, you may try the above process to get your swapped ECU to work on your car.
Notes:
1) Downloading the latest ECU data from TIS needs a membership fee.
2) Downloading the latest ECU data is optional. Once you have written your car's VIN into the swapped ECU, the ECU will work on your car with its existing ECU data (although the ECU data may not be the latest for your car).
3) There have been reports by Techstream fans that ECU's in newer Lexus/Toyota cars have a security chip to prevent DIYers from writing VINs into newer ECUs.
Hope that this is helpful.

BCMs can be swapped without any ill effects.
Issue I'm currently having is the driver side master window switch is manual mode only and the passenger window switch (still on the master driver side) controls the driver window in automatic mode. I don't have any control of the passenger side window from the driver side. Makes sense because it probably came from a RHD car. I have yet to find a LHD european car that was also equipped with rear fog lights to get the BCM out of.
Any euro bcm will change all your climate controls to read celcius instead of F*.
Any euro bcm will also enable the rear fog light and allow you to control it via the euro fog light stalk.
I'm trying to see if I can wire both BCM's into the car. The US spec one will control everything as normal and the Euro one will only control the rear fog light operation with the signal it gets from the stalk.
