I'm cruising around in my 460 for almost a year now and I gave up on the idea that there is any notable difference when driving with comfort or sport. Should the 20mm difference mentioned here really make a change and if so, what should it be?
I've been driving along and thought, "I can feel the ripples too much." Some thought like that. And then I remember about the ride control adjustability, and I look on the cluster, and sure enough when I was fiddling with the seat heater button, or maybe the rear side window shades button, I evidently bumped the ride control from comfort to sport. I always ride in comfort mode. Why in the heck would I want to ride in sport mode ... on the street ... in a 4,500+ pound land yacht? Having a sport mode in the car is sort of silly to begin with (IMO). The settings should be standard, soft, and cloud 9. Or just standard and cloud 9.
If I were going to do a track day with it (which is kind of silly), I would probably switch it to sport.
On an AWD f sport there is little difference between comfort and sport, sport plus firms it up noticeably. That could be due to the extra weight of the front axles/transfer case etc...not sure about that though.
My car is lowered mechanically with the links and I use this in the city, I use height high on the highway which brings it up to near oem normal height. The high setting is softer of course.
