DIY Replacing TPMS Sensors - 2007-2009 LS460/LS600
I've used a digital and an old school pressure gauge, but my go-to is kobalt inflator\gauge that I use with my compressor at home. I've ruled out gauge error.
I have fixed the issue though. I can only attribute this to me not doing the reset procedure properly. Press the start button twice to reach accessory mode (without starting the car). Hold the reset button until the tire light flashes three times, turn off the ignition. After that start the car back up and go for a short drive. It's the third time that I've done it but it seems to have finally reset and fixed the issue.
Thanks for the help guys!

hey OP
did you bust open the no-name tpms to see what brand battery is inside?
I bet they use some cheap panasonic made in thailand or china battery.
Also, what else do I need to buy besides the VXDIAG VCX NANO FOR TOYOTA connector/USB cable?
Google search is showing a bunch of other stuff....

- No. I haven't opened the no-name TPMS sensors yet to check the brand of the battery inside them. All four no-name TPMS sensors were recgonized by Techstream and were registered without problem, just like real Toyota TPMS sensors, and the no-name TPMS sensors accurately reported tire pressure. It just that the battery inside them didn't last too long. I would recommend that you buy the Denso/Pacific TPMS sensors from RockAuto instead of buying the no-name TPMS sensors.
- The VXDIAG VCX Nano for Toyota USB connector package (the USB connector and cable) is all you need, plus a Windows laptop computer. I've used VXDIAG VCX Nano USB connector on Windows 11 (64-bit), Windows 10 (both 64-bit and 32-bit), and Windows XP 32-bit. The VXDIAG VCX Nano device driver that came with the package (can be updated free of charge online) works flawlessly with Windows 11, 10 and Windows XP. The package also came with a small CD disk that contains Techstream.
this is a very thorough thread. myself as a member and others are eternally greatful.
If I may add to your post, I purchased no name eBay TPMS sensors which install much easier than these as they are smaller lighter tires and can program w/ the cheapest techstream cable. These no name sensors have been going strong for what has to be 3 years now. I suppose it is just the luck of the draw.
Thank you for your very thorough and helpful posts
