Default What dealer is best?

I'm in Miami and there is NO WAY I'm buying a car from any of these punks down here. AS I had to do years ago with the Platinum extended warranty, which I got for hundreds (maybe even over a thousand) less purchasing from an out of state dealer, I'm willing to fly pretty much anywhere east of the Mississippi to buy a Certified Used LS 460. I'll probably save thousands and get a cool road trip out of the deal as well. Unless, times have changed? I haven't bought a Lexus in a long time. Last one was my '06 LS that I bought locally in '11 or '12.

My daughter is getting that one for college and I am looking at a '17 LS 460 or 16. I hear those are the 4th gens to get. LWB would be extra nice as the wife and I are often driving to Tallahassee and Gainesville to visit the kiddos in college. Comfort is paramount.

I’ve used both Palm Beach and JM Lexus and both are good. Miami not so good.

IIRC, in Florida such warranties can only be sold in-state.

So, you can't buy a car in-state and then expect to buy a warranty from an out of state source.

Correct. Our dealers got sick and tired of not being able to rip people off for extended warranties and lobbied our fantastic government, always looking out for themselves instead of us and made sure that I never buy a Lexus in Florida again. I wish more people realized this and went out of state for car purchases.

AutoNation is HORRIBLE! I tried buying a LS from one in Cali and they were so crooked.

I'll probably hit up dealers in Georgia, North and South Carolina as well as Louisiana and private sellers too. Probably once I get vaccinated so I can travel around a little easier, you know, without dying.

sir, I understand your concerns about the dealers in the region....

the positives of buying a car in florida with the suspensions kept in tact with the roads, no salt from bad weather far outlay the challenge with the dealers..

I suggest checking out tampa, clearwater, sarasota and Naples... from Jacksonville in the north to Miami and west to the other areas you will find a car that fits your need...

Compare prices...Autonation appears to be no haggle but they have a dealer fee. JM Lexus is also no haggle but no dealer fee so if you were comparing 100% the same car at same price you would save about $900-1000 in fees by buying at JM. JM Lexus used to be great for service but has gone downhill over the years which has been disappointing but have never had issues buying.
