Hi guys, I’m replacing clock spring on my 2014 LS460 and I can’t seem to find what this reconnects to.
in the photo it is the connector between my index and middle finger. I have made all connections but I do not see anything for this piece. Could it be an “extra”?
those wires go to the clock spring itself I just did mine twice because first one didn’t have all of the inputs and I had harnesses hanging just like you. I sent back and searched around for correct one that allows all of the connectors and replaced. Those other connectors are for heated steering wheel, torque angle sensor and something else
It's been a while, but I definitely don't recall anything out of the ordinary not being reconnected or standing out. The pics between yours and mine show some differences, but the main point is that all plugs coming out from the clock spring should connect to the steering wheel in order for there to be proper rotation and electrical connections to the steering wheel controls. Are the wires you're grasping from within/underneath the steering column? If so, then it's similar to the white plug in my photos. That plug is taped so short to the other wire bundles that it's not really able to connect to anything else. I haven't had any codes, warning lights, or issues.
Same photo, different orientations:
you’re missing a connector input next to the yellow one. I believe it’s used if your car scale equipped with certain packages so you may not have dynamic cruise or something
