Default 2011 Control Arms?

So I’ve been looking for a while and finally found a pristine ‘11 LS with 57k miles and am pretty stoked.

When/how should I be concerned about the control arms I’ve been reading about. It rides like it’s on rails now.

Thanks for any insight, and although I’m new here, I couldn’t find any existing threads on it.

If control arms are in good shape, you are probably OK for couple years. I would take turns easy, it will extend life of control arms.

Ok, thanks for your reply.
Dumb question - is the wear something that can be felt while driving, or does it need to be inspected while on a lift?

If it is severe, you will definitely hear and see it. Uneven wear of tires is one of signs. Wore down arms can be identified on a lift, it is actually a good practice to check on them periodically. Check the arms every oil change. It does not take long and can be done at home using ramps, a small mirror and a light.

Also was this something that was corrected later. If you replace them should new ones have a longer lifespan?
And are they effected by age or just miles

Thanks

I cut in pieces 10-year old arms and rubber had no decay sings on it except the cracks. My personal believe is the control arms are damaged by aggressive cornering, rough roads and not good engineering for such heavy vehicle.
