Default VSA on a former L/Certified LS

I found out that Toby Rivers no longer works at the Lexus dealership in Louisiana. Having trouble with obtaining a VSA on a former L/Certified LS that kept being serviced at a Lexus dealership in Texas. The actual Lexus dealership where the car is serviced at gave me 3 yr/ 36K-$2899 0r 5 yr/ 92k- $4260 This is for a 2011 LS.
Any help in obtaining a lower pricing and more mileage VSA would be appreciated.

If I remember correctly I think I read I think part of the issue was having trouble selling warranties across state lines?
Being a former L certified car means nothing at this point as you have to extend the warranty while it is still under warranty to get any savings that way.

Yes, that was posted quite a while back but I was able to get a warranty from Toby in a different state after this. The VSA generally needs to be bought while the car is under the original 4/50 warranty if its not a CPO car. If it is a CPO car, I don't know if that still applies or if it just needs to be extended before the 6 year/unlimited CPO warranty expires(?) Note, the CPO warranty and the CPO extended warranties are unlimited mileage.

But to the original point, does anybody know if there is a source out there for getting Lexus warranties at a discount?

Contact Casey at Shreveport Lexus. He’s the Finance manager that replaced Toby. casey.mcgrew@harveyautos.com

Since this keeps coming up. Here are some numbers from Oct on two cars for comparison, though I don’t think it will help you due to age.

10.10.2020 - 2014 LS 460

The Certified extension can be purchased any time during the two year window. But, they do incremental price increase throughout the year. So, the best price will be now! The Certified extensions are a tad bit more for the cars that are not in factory warranty any longer. They are still unlimited miles and kick in after your 2 year certified warranty expires.

If CPO Expires - 10-12-2022

1 extra year: $1,000. ($1000) 10-12-2023 3 Years
2 extra years box: $1,730. ($865) 10-12-2024 4 Years
3 extra years: $2,515. ($838) 10-12-2025 5 Years
4 extra years: $3,415. ($853) 10-12-2026 6 Years
5 extra years: $4,425. ($885) 10-12-2027 7 Years
Car is 13 years old

2017 LS 460

On the first car, the certified warranty runs until 04/27/2023. I can add years to the CPO warranty and the miles are still unlimited.
1 extra year - $815 ($815) 4-27-2024 4 Years
2 extra years - $1,210 ($605) 4-27-2025 5 Years
3 extra years - $1,625 ($541) 4-27-2026 6 Years
4 extra years - $2,105 ($526) 4-27-2027 7 Years
5 extra years - $2,640 ($528) 4-27-2028 8 Years
Car is 11 years old

Might want to read the fine print. If I remember correctly , they changed the deductibles now. Its $0 if you service the vehicle at the dealer who sold VSA, otherwise its $100. I have bought VSA from Toby for my 2011LS 460L. I paid $3500 for extending the 2 year L certified warranty to 7 years in 2016. Seems like Lexus changed the deductible clause to force us to buy the VSA from local dealer

I have a 5 year/unlimited CPO extension warranty with zero deductible. My local dealer performs any repairs under that warranty. Unless it's changed very recently, that's the deal.

I have the same $0 deductible. I think they changed it recently. This is what I copied from
Vehicle Service Agreements | Lexus Financial

Plans feature $0 or $100 deductible options. Deductible applies to each eligible repair visit. The deductible is the dollar amount you pay for authorized claims related to a single repair visit. If the Disappearing deductible option is selected and the selling dealer of the VSA performs covered repairs, the $100 deductible will be waived. Otherwise the full deductible amount applies.
