BMW7_LS430 user said in another thread that I should skip nav data update and get Apple CarPlay in my LS. is there a possibility of software update alone, or does it require additional hardware installation? He/she said it's around $600, I would be totally willing to spend that much to be able to project my iPhone onto the nav screen

 

You can’t update your existing system with a simple software update. Search for a thread started by SW17LS, he added an after market system to his LS and appears very happy with it. Good luck.

Yep, works great. Has some quirks here and there but overall totally worth it.

 

just saw your thread and the link to the site that sells that unit. Thanks for costing me more money steve. Lol. Just ordered it. Waiting for it to arrive. I have to go and see which shop that are able to install it.
