I feel like my aftermarket front tint is lighter than rear windows but unsure if that is because of light (darker in the rear seats), actual tint %, or differences in the glass.
Long wheelbase has laminated glass on both front and rear so that should not be a factor.
Previous owner put it therefore I do not know if the tint % itself is different.

Front tint looks lighter

Front tint looks lighter

Both front and rear tint feels the same

If it’s an L, no. If it’s a SWB then yes.

The issue is the tint in the laminated glass and the tempered glass is a little different.

The fronts always look a little lighter than the rear because of the light coming through the untinted windshield.

It could also be that the previous owner used lighter tint in the front.

Found some internet images with factory (I assume) tint and same color combo. they show similar differences.
Even the stock pictures show the same thing. https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2016...Pictures/Print
I think it is just eyes playing tricks due to the amount of light in the interior but could be differences from factory as well. This is seen on 2013+ only. 07-12 photos look fine.

Mine's SWB but I see no difference tint between front and rear windows. Did all 4th gen LS cars have tint or was it optional?

All cars have slightly tinted glass.

In the SWB cars the front windows have a bluish tint, and the rears are greenish. It’s hard to see, you basically have to look against a white background, or if you tint the windows with a tint with some reflective qualities it will really pronounce it.
