Default Rear window tints

I want to get my rear windows re tinted since it looks like the last owner put the tint on himself looks terrible. I heard of this tint called presidential tint it's 0% on the outside but on the inside you can see out no one around my area has heard of it if not im going to go 10% my father had his 550 rear windows tinted 15% and it looks good but i want it to somewhat match the car. I would also like to stay away from the Film tint i would like to get the windows dipped like the factory does it. Where and how can i get this done?

I wouldn't recommend it. During the day it looks great but at night you can't see squat. You'd be inviting a visit from the cops and not to mention should you ever be in an accident you'd be liable even if you hit someone with the front of the car. You'll even get a ticket if someone rear ends YOU! How jacked is that? If you have a dark interior and still want to go with an illegal type tint, go with 20% max, just my humble opinion.

I'm not sure what type of tint your trying to describe. When you say 0% on the outside, and 15% on the inside. Which one is it?

0% means that 0% of the light enters the cabin. Which means its equivalent to looking at a wall. Please elaborate.

The tint i am looking fro is called presidential tint because it is used on the presidential limo along with most of the other vehicals the secret service uses for transporting vip's when looking from the outside in you can get as close as you want and you will not see in however when you are looking from the inside to the outside it looks like the windows are tinted about 15 to 20 %.

I guess that'd be a different law for your state, sorry bout that. Hawaii has stricter laws. Factory glazed tint is allowed because it's on an SUV. SUV's and passenger / commercial vans are treated the same. Kinda like how the old delivery vans never had windows in the back.

That's pretty much 5% tint, if there no light on the inside you can't see in. Grands right about 0%, no such thing. It's just like this, ever stand outside a house that has a metal screen door? They can't see in but from the inside you can totally see out. Or just put your hands over the sides of your shades, same thing, nobody can see your eyes. I hope this helps you make your decision.
