Default rear only coil over conversion???

So it seems that only the fronts are adjusted when you press height high, which for me is always on. Today I found out the drivers side rear is busted in some way, I posted a thread asking about options when the strut mount break os delaminates from the strut itself.

What's so special about these conversion kits? do they include something special to make it all fit or just package whats necessary together?

The rear oem air strut also look considerably less complicated than then fronts. What do you guys think about just converting the rears? If possible what should I connect the rear wires to?

And do I just buy all the parts that are there for the non air suspension for the car and put them on?

All the threads I have read have talked about changing everything over, I would like to keep the fronts as is, if I can who knows maybe the combo might give an interesting combination of comfort and handling? i know nothing bout that so putting the idea out there

Not to mention that you’d pay around the same for the full conversion as if you just bought two of the cheapo Arnott struts
but that's what I meant i was going to convert the back to oem coil overs... arent the oem coil overs? or are they called something else, I just assumed coilovers meant when you have struts and coils together which is what OEM non air has no? or are we talking about something more adjustable? I think cheapo arnott struts are worse than remanufactured china struts tbh... that is what I am gathering thus far.

let me know if i understood you correctly

And all 4 corners raise with the high mode on, not just the front.

I agree with FunFact, this isn't a good idea

yeah ok idea scrapped.. you guys have seen photos of how the air struts are right, some people like mine... fail where the concave is on the area that mounts.. to the car at the top... I have idea...maybe because it is too thin and the strut itself rises and after a while heat etc... the thing fails around where it keeps pressing up... this is not the exact photo but it kinda fails like that... I wonder whether the top can be opened up and maybe a thick piece of metal or rubber cut ot the exact shape glued with something like window weld.. will make it last longer? or maybe that is a way i can temporarily fix it.
