I do have the Indy mechanic inspection scheduled . So it sounds like the mechanic should check control arms, bushings, and motor mounts, rear shocks . Also , making sure that there is no wind noise at high speeds or sticky dashboard . The thing which scares me is that for car with 42k miles noone of these things have been checked or replaced based on vehicle history records over the course of 11 years.

A few months ago I shopped hard for an early 460, but ultimately decided against it. During that search, I looked at Lexus service records for A LOT of cars of various mileages. The vast majority of records reviewed did not reflect any of the 460 issues commonly discussed on this forum.

Just wondering why did you decide against the ls460. And what did car did you ultimately go with then?

I concluded that early ('07 to '12) 460s are best avoided and not worth giving up my 430.

In 8 months we have put 18k miles on our 08. Problems are problems. Way too much fun to drive. It goes. Great mpg for a big car that goes. Big interior for us tall people.
