Default Pad wear warning light

So I’ve got a pad wear warning light before I waste time taking it some place, I just got my pads checked maybe 2 months ago I was told it was good. So could this be an error and where are these sensors located can the light be reset?

The pads will still have some life left when the wear sensors are hit; they "look good" to anyone just visually checking. They are located on the pads themselves and must be replaced once worn through. The light will be reset when you replace the pads and sensors.

The 07 only has them on the passenger side front/back.

Usually, the front pads will wear out quicker.

Change both front side pads or change both rear side pads. Or change all front/rear pads.

I also have recently received the pad warning light. I checked all four sets and they all have at least 1/4 of an inch left. Being that start out at approximately a 1/2 inch, is a 1/4 inch the safety margin built in? Seems like I have another 4-6k miles left on these. let me know your thoughts.

I mean, you can ride em till they squeal and just deal with the dash light, how long you wait to do the work is ultimately up to you. But the point is the light will stay on until you replace the damaged sensor and install pads that extend well beyond the new sensor.
