Default F sport

So is the f sport really that much different than the normal LS?
It has some cosmetic changes that looks better IMHO but isn't the performance pretty much the same? Is the suspension stiffer and thus a harsher ride?

I own one.

If the LS is a grandma's car then the LS FSport is your 50 year old hot aunt that your dad is always sneaking peaks at and wishing your mom dressed more like.

Appearance package inside and out is one part of it.

ISF/GSF/RCF Direct Shift trans

6 piston Brembos up front

Torsen LSD

larger sway bars and sport tuned VGRS steering

specifically tuned air suspension

19” forged BBS wheels

So no they are not the same. These are more capable when pushed to the limit

Not the same, but very similar.

I'm also almost certain the wheels are not forged...cast aluminum wheels like the other wheels.

I mean it is an LS. No one should try and deny it. It is not like comparing an M5 to a 535i. Those are totally different cars.

Differences that I appreciated:
  • "Dem" Brakes! Yes they are grabby but wow, this car knows how to stop. Never had Brembos up front before but it is worth the upgrade.
  • BBS forged 19's, I really like the way these rims look. Not often I appreciate factory rims but these look nice.
  • The grill, front bumper, and rear diffuser
  • The sports suspension. First time sicne my Navigator have I had an air suspension and I enjoy it.
  • The paddle shifters (never thought I would like them until I had them. )
  • Sports+ mode. This is my first Lexus. I am note sure if this existed on regular LS's but I like the way the car's throttle responds as well as the lower stance.
  • The interior - I love the aluminum trim and perforated leather seats with the F Sport Branding on the headrests. I got black so mine has white threading.
  • The black alcantara headliner
  • Sport pedals

Things I have no clue about
  • Transmission with downshift rev-matching
  • TORSEN® limited-slip rear differential
  • Variable Gear-Ratio Steering

Things I wish it had
  • The whole ultra luxury package, would have been a super nice option.
  • The rear seat radio controls/entertainment center/climate controls
  • I like the old fashioned wood grain steering wheel. I have the FSport one which is cool but I always like that big hunk of wood Lexus uses on the LS. Wish they could have done wood an perforated leather.
  • Heated rear seats
  • Coolbox
  • I can't lie, every time I see a LWB one I am like wow, that is a nice looking Lexus. Sport and LWB don't really go together but a guy can wish.
I found the brochure https://www.lexus.com/documents/broc...S-Brochure.pdf

This is from a contact I have made recently in my hunt for BBS center caps. I asked him if they were forged or not.

Yes they are. They are made by BBS-Japan and they only make forged wheels.

So even with the sportier suspension because of it being air it rides just as cushy as the regular LS? I really like the more agreesive looks but prize comfort above all else.

I would say it rides almost as cushy as a regular LS with the air suspension, and better than a coil spring LS.

Did a little research, they are forged how about that?

My 2013 F Sports has heated rear seats. Maybe it was an option; I bought mine used.
