Question about Executive seating '07
Thanks in advance for any and all help. I'm looking at an '07 that has the Executive seating w/ottoman. It has a button where you can with the toggle of one switch move the front passenger seat out of the way and extend the rear seat fully. My question is how far over should the upright part of the front seat bend over? I could of sworn I saw a video where it folded itself almost flat against the seat bottom so as not to be in line of sight of the driver. This one goes over about 45* at most. The headrest is fully above the window line along with a small bit of the seat. It's not super annoying, but would cause a small blind spot.
Also, while you're here, I'd appreciate thoughts on the car. As already said, it's an '07 with every option available that year. It has 88k miles, but could easily pass for a 25k mile car. I did a service history on it and it had Lexus service every 5k miles along with every major service done. It also had all four door panels replaced, along with the dash, about 10k miles ago so the interior looks as new.
They are asking $20k for the car and they have had it listed for about three months. Any thoughts on the car or pricing are appreciated. Oh, also, any info on how far the front seat should bend is greatly appreciated too.

It does not fold over as far as I know. dealer or private? if you are going to buy from a dealer and paying the premium then make sure you are getting some kind of warranty or warranty you can buy. I would not pay more than 17/18 on it... depending on the exact condition.

Thanks for the reply. The car is at a small used car lot, maybe thirty cars total. This Lexus is far and away the best car on the lot and they advertise a three month/3k mile warranty, but it's bare bones powertrain coverage. I drove the car on rutted back roads and on the interstate at 75 MPH and didn't hear a peep from the suspension so I think I'm okay on front bushings for now. I'm going to make an offer tomorrow for $18k and let them simmer next week on it.

The key things about any 2007 model is whether the recalls have been done and the many weak points have already been addressed. For instance, the brake actuator is a time bomb waiting to go off at a cost of $3500 and the Lexus warranty enhancement period has expired. Also, having the Executive Class Seating Package means it has air suspension, another potential costly fix is it fails.

redzone - other than what you have noted, and the fact (that I'm sure you're aware of) that the Executive is a 4 seater, it's a great vehicle. I would have sought one out, but I needed a 5 seater.

In July I bought an 07 Ls460 L with everything BUT executive seating and it also had 88k miles at time of purchase . I really wanted Executive Package though, so I'm jelly.
Mine was asking 15,995 and I got it down to 15,500.
I would have paid $2k more for executive package, so yeah, I think you should be paying $17,500 for it.
If it helps, I had to replace brake pads, two tpms sensors, and passenger headlight since purchase (now at 93k miles) and have been told my driver front air strut is leaking. (I chose to do other things, but I wanted to let you know about what I had to do). I don't regret my purchase at all (ask me after I replace air struts), but that might scare off some people.

I think the key to these cars is finding a good indy shop u trust to keep the car running, if someone chooses to go to the dealer for anything other than diagnosis they are going to be spending too much money and are not going to be happy with your purchase...
