That is what I've always done lol I avoid touching parts that are exposed to the elements lol dusty,,, btw a lil off topic how fast is that trunk lid supposed to go up or down.. if it is slow what can I change to get it going up to normal speed.

i don't think you can change the speed. It is somewhat slow, but at least it's auto.

i mean service some motors or shocks or something.. i am sure motors wear out grease gets old etc.. maybe something can be lubed up lol
