2013-2014 Navigation Updates: Does is now show speed limits?
Has anyone with a 2013 or 2014 updated their navigation recently? Does it now show speed limits on the roads now? My wife's 2017 RX 350 does. This is the first time I've seen it, and of course, it's wrong some of the time.
I also would like to know. Dealer price to update the navigation is 400+ on my 13 LS so a waste of my money imo. Now if I get speed limits with the update it may be worth the inflated price.
With a well situated smart phone and a decent sized screen, Waze is a much better option. The speed limits that Waze believes are once in a while incorrect to the limits posted (which get updated or corrected), the other features of adjusting to road and traffic conditions are a nice option......

I do use Waze; in fact, I've been a volunteer map editor for nearly four years. It's my go-to navigation app. Waze has volunteer map editors who work hard to get it right. However, I do like the information on the Lexus navigation screen to be correct. I'm also a contributor to Google Maps and to HERE, which supplies the map data for Lexus navigation systems. Google Maps and HERE require submitted edits to be reviewed. GM almost always approves my edits. With HERE, unfortunately, getting something changed on the map is sometimes like pulling teeth. It seems that many have no idea about California prima facie speed limits, so unless there's a clearly posted speed-limit sign (and sometimes not even then) they seem to have no idea as to what to do and just decide what's best on their own.
