Question Trunk release button

Hi,

My trunk release button on the exterior of the car has a rubberized cover that has started to
decay and fall off. Is it possible to just buy the rubber part itself or do I need to replace the whole button?.

Thanks to anyone one with any input on this.....

I'll get some more info on this. I have my car at the Lexus dealer getting replaced. I couldn't see an easy way to switch it out. I think the rear part of truck will need to all come off and access from there.

Disregard, found the part on eBay for 7.83$....its easily replaceable, held in place by two small screws.

Let us know how it holds up, wouldja?

Mine is funky, but I rarely use it, opting for the remote, instead. Still, I'd rather it be 'right'.

I just changed mine out a couple of months ago. I was going to buy a new switch but seen I can just replace the rubber cover. Yes, it's 2 screws that holds the switch in place but you have to take part of the trunk apart to get to it. Not too hard, just a little time consuming.

Just replaced it, it was pretty easy, remove license plate lights and slide new rubber mat in to place. Took 20 minutes or so. Part was 7.38$ on fleebay.

Link on ebay ? Mine sticky... I don't use it that much but, when I do, it does not feel right... Maybe it's worth replacing if it's under $10...
