No sound from audio system
Hi CL,
I was trying to add an aftermarket subwoofer to my 13 LS, and unbolted + side of battery on post and ran my 4 gauge wire from there to the back of the car. I didn’t completely disconnect battery just he but on the positive bolt that I was able to add my power wire too, but now there is zero audio at all. I can turn in the radio, and it comes on but there is no audio, not even showing the volume turning up and down. But I can see title and track of song coming on and even what should be playing title, track, and artist just no sound. Can’t get any audio to play. Any help would be appreciated..
as going on a longer roadtrip later this week

What do you mean drop? I pulled the signal from the factory sub wires and and LOC for remote from rear cig adapter in rear fuse panel in trunk.
But I have the wires all ran, haven’t even turned the aftermarket sub on yet, I basically ran the wires had to stop and go to dinner and when came back to take car to dinner no sound at all from stereo. I get the song title, station etc, but no audio. The volume doesn’t show going up or down when you spin it... so I was thinking maybe a fuse. But I don’t know what or where the fuse is either. I’m hoping to get back at looking at this tonight

That is correct, I ran it from hood back, but have a fused +12.. So I basically ran all my wires, +12 first, unplugged from battery, ran negative to metal in trunk, remote from Cig lighter fuse in rear panel, and speaker wire tapped off factory sub at sub, to LOC.. When I went to put power to +12, I left the fuse out, unbolted the +12 nut (as to not completely remove all power) and added my +12 there tightened bolt back up, went into car started up and nothing.... I have read that sometimes there is a chirping sound, I do not have that..... Just nothing in terms of output at all, that's why I am thinking maybe another fuse somewhere. I can't locate it though if there is one.....
I have a 3 hour drive coming up too, some tunes would be great!!!
Any other suggestions?

Cover for Passenger Side Fuse box
the ML Amp fuse is in the passenger side fuse box - the big 30-amp fuse in the middle, taking up 2 slots.

Whytry ...anytime you perform any type of electrical work ...always disconnect negative battery terminal first and the then the positive, and then always connect positive first and negative last. You can surge the computers and electronics with only positive terminal removed...also potentially arcing on chassis or elsewhere. I believe the 30 amp fuse for the ml amp is on the passenger side fuse panel in the vehicle...check the fuse first then report ...goodluck

There are 4 fuse blocks in all: 2 in the engine compartment (the smaller one has the fuse removal tool I think), and 2 interior: driver's side, and shotgun side. The manual has very nice pictures showing where each is, and even what each fuse is for. I had to lie on my back with my legs stretched out the car door to see what was what.
