Default Air Conditioned Seats

Hi everyone!

Well I have had my 07 for a couple of months and it is starting to get hot here in New Mexico so I decided to try the air conditioned seats.

I pushed the driver's side button so it came up and turned it counter clockwise all the way and kept driving, the indicator light by the button does come on.

I could detect the seat being being very little cooler than the passenger seat, is this correct or do you all experience more significance?

Is is possible my car is not equipped with this option but regardless has the buttons?

oops, don't see how I can delete my above post as I have since read that the seats are NOT air conditioned as I thought

but configured in such a way that allows the interior temperature to be circulated through the seat perforations if I am reading this right

therefore it is not surprising that I would conclude this to be a non significant option to have, if you all agree?

If your seat dials have both red and blue markings on the *****, then you should have air cooled seats. Did you buy the car from a dealer or private party? It may still work but could need a new seat air filter.

Incorrect.

The LS, back to the 430, has a Peltier effect thermocouple which is effectively a solid-state A/C unit.

The seats have a filter located under each front seat and they should be changed with a new one every 4-5 years...... EZ to do and takes less than 15 minutes.

Exactly. These are not simply ventilated seats as in other Lexus models.

there are no instructions in my manual as to how to access and replace the seat filters
this is what it says

Replacing the air filters
Filters are installed in the climate control seats. For replacement of the filters, con-

tact your Lexus dealer.

Cool. Love that they are refrigerated. Diagrams did not show refrigerant lines

There is no instructions in the manual because they want you to go to your Lexus dealer so they can charge you to replace them. Just search for seat air filters and you will find more info on here

Me too! I thought it was just a fan blowing air, not actual air conditioning. I'll have to see how the old filters look after 54k miles.
