There are no refrigerant lines. Peltier effect refrigeration is unusual in that it works off the different properties of two metals. No moving parts, no gases, no sound, nothing. However, all that is not free.

Here's an introduction done better than I could ever explain it: https://thermal.ferrotec.com/technol.../thermalref01/

The downside to Peltier cooling is it's extremely electricity-intensive. I wouldn't be surprised if each front seat could pull 10A at maximum cooling.

Here's a general overview of the front seat features:

Haven been able to find anything on the mechanism by which the seats are cooled - nothing on google and nothing in the seat parts diagrams.

Now I'm confused. Roadfrog, are you saying Steve said they're not cooled, only fan-action? I think you may have misread if this is your conclusion.

The LS very definitely has Peltier effect coolers. The fan is used like a central A/C system, sending cool air all over.

No, the LS's seats are air conditioned. I'm saying that seat is ventilated only as its from a GS.

My '15 window sticker shows under Installed Options..."Comfort Package - Climate-control front seats, Power rear sunshade, One touch power trunk open/close" for a list price of $1650. The manual also states (p 391 in my manual) "Front climate control seats (if equipped)" When you rotate the temp setting **** clockwise you are in "ventilation" from top (off or 12 o'clock) until about 10 o'clock. Continue to rotate past 10 o'clock and to 7 o'clock and you are in "seat cooler" zone.

Replacing the air filters
Filters are installed in the climate control seats. For replacement of the filters, con-

tact your Lexus dealer.
Go on YouTube can find most anything from replacing key fob battery, engine air filter, cabin filters etc. etc.Been using it before I even look in manual.
